SOWERBY WI ON TARGET...

Our June meeting was in Sowerby Parochial Hall and we were advised by Charlotte Garbutt, who runs her own advisory service and spoke about the impact of colour, the process of colour analysis and the different seasonal colour palettes, advising what to wear and what not to wear!

‘Our Favourite Scarf’ competition was won by Julia, with her vibrant silk scarf depicting elephants, which brought back treasured memories of her holiday.

Our June outing was to the Cone Exchange in Harrogate, which was an eye-opening experience for all who went, it is an Alladin’s Cave of upcycled materials from various businesses in the area, which are useful for craft activities, projects and hobbies.

Most members bought at least one item, some couldn’t resist the temptation and bought several! Lunch at Fodder afterwards was delicious.

Members met in the beautiful Baldersby Park for our July meeting, to experience archery, courtesy of Thirsk Bowmen.
